🐸 White’s Tree Frog (Ranoidea caerulea) Care Sheet
White’s tree frogs are calm, charming amphibians known for their chubby appearance, sticky toes, and adorable “smiling” faces.
Origin: Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea
Size: 7–11 cm (3–4.5 inches)
Lifespan: 10–15 years (up to 20 with excellent care)
Temperament: Docile, hardy, and very beginner-friendly
Activity: Nocturnal and arboreal
🏠 Housing
Enclosure Size: Ideally 45 x 45 x 60 cm (18" x 18" x 24") for 1–2 adults
Type: Vertical terrarium preferred with screen top for airflow
Substrate: Coconut fibre, sphagnum moss, or bioactive mix to retain humidity
Décor: Climbing branches, cork bark, large leaves, plants and hides—keep it naturalistic
Water Feature: Optional but appreciated; must be shallow and clean

Basking Spot: Not strictly needed, but keep a warm area at 28°C (82°F)
Lighting:
UVB not required, but low-level (2.0–5.0) can enhance health and natural behavior

💧 Humidity
Ideal Range: 50–70%
Misting: 1–2 times daily; use dechlorinated water
Hydration: Frogs absorb moisture through their skin—no standing water needed, but shallow dish is great
🍽 Feeding
Diet: Insectivorous – locusts, crickets, dubia roaches, black soldier fly larvae, earthworms etc.
Feeding Frequency:
Juveniles: Daily
