Habistat substrates come fully hydrated and ready to use. Compact the bottom layer before adding a top layer to help maintain burrows and trap essential humidity in the lower levels. As the top layer dries, it will trap in vital humidity throughout the bottom layers. For a more naturalistic setup, pair with HabiStat leaf litter.
