Pilea peperomioides, commonly known as the Chinese Money Plant or Missionary Plant, is an evergreen perennial with distinctive, round, shiny leaves that appear to float on long, thin stalks, forming a compact, dome-shaped plant.

Growth Conditions:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight, but can tolerate lower light conditions.
  • Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch, but avoid overwatering as this can lead to root rot.
  • Soil: Thrives in a well-draining, peat-based potting mix.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, but tolerates average home humidity levels.
  • Temperature: Avoid cold drafts and sources of heat.
